‘Tis the season

I wanted to begin by saying that I have learned a lot in just the last year. I realize that with life there are situations that require a great deal of attention to those that I would like to place more focus. This website and developing new formulas and products, to name a few. Here we are yet again with the passing of Halloween and fully tilting into the shopping and holiday season. The temps may be 70° but I can assure you pop up sales are happening and last week I heard Christmas music already playing in retail.

On the suggestion of a friend, I have decided to put pen to paper, so to speak, and give insight on this journey and what I have been doing along with ideas. Hopefully, maybe I can look toward some comments on what you may like to see in the industry. Share your struggles finding the perfect products, key ingredients, or just every day frustrations within the industry and guide me to an ever evolving industry and solutions.

My biggest obstacle, aside from wanting to try every trick and trend, is to remain simple. I realize there are products a plenty on shelves. This is apparent from the barrage of new brands popping up everywhere, including social media, proclaiming to have discovered the fountain of youth. Let me be clear. I believe that simple products using just a few powerful, natural ingredients are just as good (if not better) than a litany of ingredients that require a PhD to pronounce. We do not need more than three targeted ingredients to find products that deliver. First, your skin will only utilize so much. Less is more. This is why you will find that I pride myself on only combining a few specific ingredients that cover a multitude of concerns thus formulating something that is as flexible as your skin care needs. I could create multiple steps and lines for every single skin type there is, but why? If you can purchase three or four items that can adjust to your skin care needs as necessary you not only save money but don’t have to question rather or not transitioning will cause unwanted reactions. Secondly, why confuse the everyday consumer with more stuff that takes up space on a counter that most folks never get around to using? 90 seconds, twice a day. Period. Thirdly, and most importantly, is the want and need to decrease the amount of synthesized ingredients that have no benefits other than to fill a container and cut costs to the manufacturer but cost us more as consumers. You do not…DO NOT have to pay a fortune for face moisturizer to…well…moisturize.

While sourcing and testing new formulas you will probably notice some smell good products on the sight. Those have also proven to be lil rascals as it isn’t as simple as one might think. The one I’m referencing is myself. We will have wax crumbles, tarts, and room sprays available. I have developed a formula for an all natural room spray that also deodorizes but I am trying to figure a way to lower the cost without compromising the integrity. It’s made with perfumer’s alcohol and it is pricey. In the meantime, we will launch a different version of the spray. However, it is not “skin safe” and does not sanitize. Next on the list is serums and toners. I’m hoping to have something out and being tested soon. These will follow that Niacinimide and Hyaloronic crazes.

I appreciate the continued support and am looking forward to getting great, natural, and effective product out soon. Until then, Amazing days and much love!
